Cyprus Police

Cyprus Police has issued a Mandate authorizing HFC and SPAVO to develop and launch the Child Alert under the operation of the European Hotline for Missing Children 116000. The mandate certifies that the operation of the Alert is taking place by the Hotline in close cooperation with Cyprus Police and that the activation and deactivation processes are implemented based on the authorization of the Cyprus Police.

Ministry of Justice and Public Order

HFC and SPAVO have signed a Protocol of Cooperation regarding the handling of missing children cases under the European Missing Children Hotline. The purpose of this protocol is to define a set of guidelines for the successful and productive cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, the Cyprus Police and the Hotline.

Google

The consortium HFC – SPAVO has established cooperation with Google for the operation of the Child Alert. Through this cooperation the missing children alerts in Cyprus will be published via Google’s most popular tool – the search engine.

Missing Children Europe

The consortium ‘Hope For Children’ UNCRC Policy Center – Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family is a member of the Missing Children Europe (MCE) since 2012.

MCE is the European Federation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children and its mission is to contribute to the development of effective and holistic child protection systems in order to prevent children from going missing, and to support and protect them from any kind of violence or abuse when they go missing.
